The teaching on the household of faith comes at the end of Ephesians 2 after the Apostle expounds the Christian doctrines of the sovereignty of God in grace and the depravity of man in sin. The doctrine of love before time in a covenant of grace is what calms the mind of anxiety in times of difficulty. This is what binds together the faithful in the household of faith.
So there is direct correlation in holding to the Apostolic doctrine and the unity and power of the churches...
