Dr. Thomas Sowell, in "Dismantling America," said in reference to President Obama, "That such an administration could be elected in the first place, headed by a man whose only qualifications to be president of the United States at a dangerous time in the history of the world were rhetoric, style and symbolism -- and whose animus against the values and institutions of America had been demonstrated repeatedly over a period of decades beforehand -- speaks volumes about the inadequacies of our educational system and the degeneration of our culture."

Failure of the educational system is only a symptom of the greater problem of spiritual degeneracy caused by the idolatry of radical naturalism. How many of the ruling elites are Darwinists? How many of those who teach and admin our institutions of learning are Darwinists? The Bible says that the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord; that is, an awe and respect for His person and works revealed through His word. So what does that say of those who deny these things? So why do we allow fools to reign over us and teach our children? These things should not be in a nation founded on a covenant of natural law.
Jesus referred to His people as salt for the seasoning of the earth…
“You are the salt of the earth; if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men” [Matthew 5:13].
The churches are the only beacons of truth in the world. Churches that have accommodated autonomous wisdom in exchange for the eternal wisdom have become like the world. If the churches will not proclaim the message of a sovereign Christ who has spoken truth to the nations and governs them according to His word according to His own good pleasure, then we should not expect anything more than a declining culture as it descends into idolatry and immorality.
But for the multitude of cultural critics, we must rightly identify the origin of tyranny and the origin of liberty if we would not be found in cooperation with the enemies of freedom. Flee from idolatry.
