You would think that there would be a lesson here, if not for the politician, then maybe for the voting public. Big government destroys liberty including economic liberty while it helps nothing but itself.
The next time they come preaching hope and change rather than a return to constitutionalism, we can know that they not only do not understand the importance of liberty, but are its enemies.
An imperfect system where liberty reigns is much to be preferred over any system without liberty. The elites think their system is better as long as they have more and more control over us. America has demonstrated that law is the best king, but the heart of the tyrant keeps rising up against us. His world view must be put to death again.
We the people must be vigilant to overthrow this age old thinking that a lawless king can rule over us better than good law that serves to protect our liberty against the encroachments of the tyrant. If we are not to the point of surrendering our liberty to him, then we must begin to return to the path of constitutional law. We can start in November.
