We thank Mr. Knight for standing up for the truth. God reveals His nature in the moral law given in the Ten Commandments and written on the conscience of His image bearers. For the Christian, that which was written on tablets of stone is now by the Spirit written on the regenerated heart. So the Law is no longer what condemns him as a sinner, but directs him in holy living in love for God above all things and love for his neighbor. The Law defines love; it puts content to love. Love does no harm to his neirhbor because love is the fulfillment of the Law.
With this understanding of love, we can see how the word has been robbed of its meaning in today's culture. Love does not cause other men to enter into sin. There's nothing gay about sodomy, and it has nothing to do with love.
There are many preachers of unrighteousness among us in these days. When the eternal wisdom is denied, the foolishness of autonomous wisdom will become evident. The Scriptures pronounce woe on ‘those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness’ [Isaiah 5:20]. And rightly does it say that they became vain in their imagination and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they are unable to discern their own foolishness.
The truth may be suppressed, but it cannot be bound. It will accomplish its purposes in mercy or in judgment…
