The church is the pillar and ground of truth; she must sanctify the culture. The secularist and the religionist are doing all they know to do; always learning but never coming to a knowledge of the truth and having a form of godliness but denying its power.

Why has the cultural war shifted in their favor? Why has the church stopped being salt and light to a dieing culture? A comparison of today’s church with the colonial church is revealing…
We have lost the view that Psalm 2 is a present reality. Our view of Christ is less than the biblical view that He has all authority in heaven and earth and is working all things according to His purposes for the church. The view of the advancing kingdom of God exited the church with the death of Calvinism and its Post Millennialism.
Autonomy has infected the church that makes God’s will subject to the will of man. Pre Millennialism has entered the church and with it she has withdrawn from the culture. The lampstand has been removed, and the salt has lost its savor. According to Christ we must repent and return to the first things of biblical authority. [Revelation 1-3]
